Start by cutting your cardstock to 5.5 by 8.5 inches. I made 5 pieces of stationary but you can make more or less
- 2
-
Next using my Scor-Pal I scored my sheets along the middles at 3.75 inches and 8 Inches. If you don't have a score board, use a ruler and just fold your paper over the ruler.
- 3
-
Punch all corners with a corner punch. Now this is optional but I think it makes your stationary a little more cooler looking!
- 4
-
I am in love with these Streamer Banners from Paper Smooches. It's always a good idea to have classics like these in your stamp collection
- 5
-
Now stamp on the front flap (the one scored at 3.75 inches) make sure you do it the right way! Right after you stamp-sprinkle with fine embossing powder. Do all 5 cards before heating
- 6
-
Now hit them with your heat gun
- 7
-
for those of you who have never embossed this is what it looks like. Embossing is also optional if you don't have the supplies and tools- but it make a very professional look!
- 8
-
Now do your interior sentiment. You can do a thank you stamp or anything generic. I like this Birthday one where you can just circle the date. Stamp and emboss all cards
- 9
-
Now we are going to make some Faux Wax Seals! I am using glitter hot glue stick available at Michaels stores. You can do this on a non stick surface or an old glass plate
- 10
-
I do three full pushes and then swirl around to flatten out (flatter works better going through the sticker maker, so I learned)
- 11
-
After they cool you can just flip them off the tray
- 12
-
Add them into the sticker maker and pull through the other side
- 13
-
There is a little presser bar at the exit of the Xyron Sticker maker, it helps to pull more downward to get the seals through
- 14
-
Then peel off plastic cover and snip to size. Also snip off about 12 inches of twine for each card- so five seals and five twines
- 15
-
Now make a cover holder for the cards. Cut another 5.5 x 8.5 in of cardstock. Score again at 3.75x8- but them score ANOTHER line 1/4 inch in from that on both scores. Go 1/2 in if you have more cards
- 16
-
oops sorry for the blur- but you see what I mean right?
- 17
-
Now wrap it up super pretty! Use more twine and I popped a tag out of cardstock and attached it with a Tim Holtz safety pin. The seals I put in a little wax bag
- 18
-
what a cool gift fpor a friend or teacher!
- 19
-
here is one of the cards from the inside all filled out and ready to give
