Basic Supplies! If you want to use ground beef go ahead, same steps apply, turkey is just leaner!
Combine salt, turkey (or ground beef), an egg, a splash of milk and complete seasoning.
Then add enough bread crumbs to cover the meat.
And mash together.
Add more bread crumbs if needed to hold meat together.
Continue mixing until you can no longer see loose bread crumbs, you should be able to form balls now.
Spray Pam on the bottom of a cooking pot.
Roll the meat in your hands to form little balls. Place the meat balls into the pot.
Add the whole can of tomato sauce.
Fill the small can of tomato sause half way with water.
Add water to the pot.
Add in olive oil (1 drizzle).
Add the Rotel, there is original, mild and hot. Pick which one you want for your heat level.
I used only half a can of Rotel, if you want a thicker sauce add more.
What it should look like.
Add some Bijol (yellow food coloring) for fun! This is not necessary at all, it's just for color since the turkey has no color.
Please cover the pot! Up next...the cooking instructions:
Put on high so it boils a bit, 1 minute boil should be sufficient. Then lower heat to between medium and low for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes turn the meatballs over so the other side cooks. Then cook for additional 20 minutes with the pot cover on.
Take one out and cut in half to ensure it cooked at the way through. You're finished making the meat balls! Cuban Style!! Make rice as a side!
