How to Make Crunchy Baked Zucchini Sticks

serves as a complete side dish for the combo meatless burger or simply as healthier munchies alternative


  • 1 zucchini large
  • ½ Cups Flour
  • ½ Cups Buttermilk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 Cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • Dried herbs
  • ½ Teaspoons salt
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Cut your zucchini in half lengthwise. Cut into 16 sticks

    Step 2

    In a bowl, prepare 1/2 cup if buttermilk. If you dont have one, simply add in 1/2 cup of milk plus 1 tbsp of white vinegar. Let it rest for 10 mnts until bubbly

    Step 3

    In a separate bowl,beat 1 egg plus 1/2 tsp of salt. After the buttermilk ready, add in the egg mixture to the buttermilk

    Step 4

    Start by dredge the zucchini to the flour

    Step 5

    Dredge in the buttermilk and egg mixture

    Step 6

    Completely coat the zucchini in panko breadcrumbs + dried herbs

    Step 7

    Line on a foil. Do the rest for all sticks

    Step 8

    Baked for 15-18 mnts in preheated oven

    Step 9

    The crunchy zucchini! Crunchy as inviting :)

    Step 10

    Serve with the homemade tomato ketchup and roasted veggies .. goes well with the combo burger side dish (french fries subtitute) enjoy! and hope you like it :)
