How to Make Corn Bread

A layered corn bread inspired by the Tassajara Bread Book's recipe

Supplies

  • 1 cup corn meal - medium grind
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup wheat germ
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup softened butter
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees

    Step 2

    Grease a 9x9 pan with butter

    Step 3

    Mix all dry ingredients together

    Step 4

    Mix all wet ingredients together

    Step 5

    Mix all ingredients together

    Step 6

    Put in pan and bake for 50 minutes

    Step 7

    Voila! Let bread cool. The center will be like custard. Mmmmm!
