How to Make Chocolate Chip Banana Oat Breakfast Bars

Delicious vegan breakfast bar!


  • 2 1/4 cup gluten free oats
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 medium ripe bananas
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup agave
  • 1/3 cup vegan chocolate chips
  • 2 T vegan chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp coconut oil
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Preheat oven to 360

    Step 2

    Get all ingredients

    Step 3

    Place oats in food processor and turn on until it becomes a flour texture

    Step 4

    Put the oat flour in a bowl then put in the baking powder

    Step 5

    Add the baking soda to the mixture

    Step 6

    And the cinnamon

    Step 7

    Then the salt

    Step 8

    Mix all dry ingredients together

    Step 9

    Place bananas, applesauce, and vanilla into a blender and blend until smooth

    Step 10

    Pour the blended mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until combined

    Step 11

    Add the chocolate chips to the mixture

    Step 12

    Fold in the chips

    Step 13

    Grease the pan

    Step 14

    Then pour the batter into the pan

    Step 15

    Put in preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes

    Step 16

    While it's baking melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a custard cup

    Step 17

    Melt completely

    Step 18

    When 15 minutes is done, put a toothpick in the bar to check if the inside is completely baked through

    Drizzle the melted chocolate mixture on top and enjoy(:
