Prepare your box of chocolate cake mix as directed on the box. Allow it to cool COMPLETELY.
Crumble up 1/2 the cake or run it through a food processor. 1/2 a box makes about 15 cherry bombs.
Add 2 tbsp of frosting and mix.
Roll into balls.
Press into each one, placing a cherry in the middle.
Fold so that cake completely covers cherry.
Roll into all compact ball.
Repeat for all and pop in the freezer for at least 15 minutes.
Dip each one into your melted chocolate.
Allow the excess to drip off, or gently scrape the bottom with a butter knife.
Repeat for all, pop in the freezer for another 15 minutes.
Refrigerate until ready to eat!
