How to Make Cashew Chicken Pizza

by David Brazeal

This is a pizza version of Springfield, Mo.-style cashew chicken. It makes enough for two pizzas, so divide ingredients evenly between two crusts.

Supplies

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • ⅓ Cups Oyster sauce
  • 6 Green onions
  • ½ Cups Cashews
  • 1 Teaspoon Soy sauce
  • 2 Pizza crust
  • 1 Cup Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • Instructions

    Step 1

Cut chicken into small pieces and sautée in oil

    Step 2

Toss chicken with soy sauce when cooked (omit this step for less salty pizza)

    Step 3

Use oyster sauce to top the pizza crust.

    Step 4

Spread the oyster sauce evenly to taste.

    Step 5

Sprinkle cashews on crust. (Use less salty cashews to cut back on the saltiness, if you want.)

    Step 6

Spread chicken pieces evenly on crust.

    Step 7

Top with mozzarella cheese lightly to hold ingredients together.

    Step 8

Bake in a 450-degree oven according to directions for the crust. Top with chopped green onions to finish.
