How to Make Buttermilk Pancakes

  • 2 Cups Unbleached flour
  • 2 Teaspoons Kosher salt
  • 2 Teaspoons Baking soda
  • 2 Eggs
  • 4 Tablespoons Melted butter
  • 2 ΒΌ Cups Buttermilk
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Heat a lightly greased griddle or pan to 400 degrees while you prepare the batter.

    Step 2

    In a large bowl, add 2 cups of unbleached flour.

    Step 3

    Add two teaspoons of kosher salt to the flour.

    Step 4

    Add two teaspoons of baking soda.

    Step 5

    Mix dry ingredients together with a whisk.

    Step 6

    Add two large eggs.

    Step 7

    Add 4 tablespoons of melted butter.

    Step 8

    Finally, add 2 1/4 cups of buttermilk.

    Step 9

    Stir together lightly.

    Step 10

    Keep it a little lumpy.

    Step 11

    Drop 1/3 cup of the batter onto the cooking surface, spreading slightly.

    Step 12

    Cook until lightly browned , about 1-2 minutes on each side.

    Step 13

    Delicious and delicate buttermilk pancakes!

    Step 14

    Serve plain, with butter, syrup, or jam. Enjoy!
