How to Make Broccoli Slaw

This is a recipe that can work for those in transition and cleaner eaters. Mix and match to what works best for your situation. Fruit, veggie and nuts...YUM!

Supplies

  • 4 Cups Broccoli
  • 2 Cups Grapes (halved)
  • ⅓ Cups Onion (pick your favorite)
  • ½ Cups Nuts (walnuts, sunflower or pecan)
  • 2 Tablespoons Balsamic vinegar
  • ½ Cups Mayonnaise
  • 2 Teaspoons Sugar
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Gather ingredients. If you have transitioned to clean foods you can use the first 4 ingredients {broccoli, grapes, onions and nuts} plain or with a vinaigrette dressing for each serving as eaten.

    Step 2

    Chop the broccoli florets into small pieces, cut grapes in half, chop nuts and onion. That's most of the effort required for this dish.

    Step 3

    You can also leave the sugar out. If you are trying to get a "not-so-clean-eater" to enjoy this you can make half with and half without. If you opt for vinaigrette, put it on as you use the slaw.

    Step 4

    Add the prepared ingredients to a bowl and stir. Refrigerate for 20 minutes prior to serving for best result.

    Step 5

    Enjoy! Quick, simple, delicious, portable, refreshing, healthy and works great as a side or snack!
