How to Make Blueberry Lavender Syrup

A simple recipe for herb infused fruit syrup.


  • 1 ½ Cups Blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 2 Tablespoons Dried lavender
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • Saucepan
  • Strainer
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Measure out your blueberries, lavender, and water.

    Step 2

    Place blueberries, lavender, and water in a heavy saucepan. Simmer for 30 minutes over medium low heat, partially covered to avoid bubbling over.

    It will turn a gorgeous shade of purple as it cooks!

    Step 4

    Add 1 cup sugar. Increase heat to medium and bring to a low boil. Cook uncovered for 5 minutes.

    Step 5

    BE CAREFUL! Hot sugar syrup is like napalm. Stir occasionally, and be careful not to splash. Adjust heat as needed to prevent boiling over.

    Step 6

    Cool completely, and then strain and bottle. Keep refrigerated. Enjoy in soda, cocktails, and desserts!
