Basic Chocolate Cake

Supplies

  • 2 ½ Cups White flour
  • ¾ Cups Cocoa powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking powder
  • ¾ Teaspoons Fine grain sea salt
  • ½ Cups Unsalted butter
  • 1 Cup Maple syrup
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Teaspoon Vinalla extract
  • 1 Cup White milk
  • 8 Ounces Bittersweet chocolate bar
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Add flour to medium bowl

    Step 2

    Add baking powder

    Step 3

    Next add cocoa powder

    Step 4

    Now you are going to add your salt

    Step 5

    Sift dry ingredients together

    Step 6

    In a different bowl, add butter and stir still smooth and fluffy

    Step 7

    Add your maple syrup

    Step 8

    Mix together

    Step 9

    Add milk and eggs to your maple syrup mixture

    Step 10

    Pour maple syrup mixture into dry ingredients, stir and then add your chocolate. Pour into 8x8 pan and bake at 350° for 35 minutes
