Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cut your tofu into about inch thick each. Then put the tofu into the ziploc bag.
Get your teriyaki sauce and poor into the ziploc baggie until your tofu looks saturated.
This is how it should look. Put into the fridge and let marinate. I let mine marinate for at least 30 m. It could be an hour or over night.
Pop it in the fridge!
Get your baking pan and lay your parchment paper on it.
Get the tofu out of the fridge and put it on the baking sheet 'bout half an inch apart or so.
When you've finished laying the tofu down poor the remanning teriyaki sauce on the tofu. Cook for an hour or 30 m.
Get a big pot and fill it with water. Put it on high till it boils.
How big the pot is.
Put the water on low. After it starts boiling.
Poor the salt in the water. My mom went around the pot about 3 times. But we needed more. Add as much as you need.
Taste it. Be careful! Don't burn yourself! Taste the water. It should taste like ocean water.
Reboil the water on high again.
Get the bowl and put the ice and cold water together.
Put just the right amount because as soon as you put the Chinese broccoli the ice will melt.
Cut the broccoli's ends off.
Put the broccoli into the boiling water.
Get the bowl of ice and get it close to the pot and drop the broccoli into the cold bowl. (Sorry for the blur)
Pore the water out into the sink.
Make sure the broccoli Is fully covered in ice and water. You do this to blanch the broccoli. If you don't do this your greens get a ugly green and aren't appetizing.
It gets an ugly green because the vegetable is still cooking. This stops the cooking. It should be soft enough to make a mark with your thumb nail.
Take the extra ice out. After most of the ice melts.
Get your two cups of rice. (Sorry for blur)
Start to wash it.
When your done slowly pore out the water. Then rewash. (Repeat steps 24 and 25)(sorry for blur.
Food coloring!!! Add it to the rice water. (Sorry for the flash 😒)
Poor out the water. (This is not the rice❗)
Now you really want to get ALL the water out so use a strainer.
Get the broccoli out of the strainer and cut the stems in half then cut the broccoli vertically.
Put a pot on high for the broccoli.
Heat some teriyaki sauce on 8 (if your tofu WASN'T marinated over night)
Put the baked tofu in another bowl.
Put vegetable oil in the pan. DONT just drop the broccoli in the pan just yet.
The oil has to look like this with the lines and dots then put the broccoli in. It shows the pan is hot enough.
Sauté the broccoli.
Chop up the garlic to sauté with the broccoli.
Chop it fine!
Add the garlic.
Get the fish sauce.
Add fish sauce. Just pore about 2 or 3 tbs.
Don't forget to mix over and over but not too much.
The teriyaki sauce should look like this then...
Poor into the bowl with the tofu!!! :D
