How to Make an Egg Carton Flowers

by Whitney Goldsberry

These simple flowers are a cheap quick craft for children ages 3-8 years old. Make one or a whole bouquet!

Supplies

  • Egg carton
  • Scissors
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Green pipe cleaners
  • Single hole punch
  • Instructions

    Step 1

Cut each egg cup out individually. Then cut 4 slits in each cup to allow it to fan out like flower petals. Use your single hole punch to create a hole in the middle of the "flower".

    Step 2

Take green pipe cleaners and cut them in half. Create a knot at one end by twisting the pipe cleaner.

    Step 3

Thread the pipe cleaner through the hole. Turn over the flower and create another twist to prevent the egg carton from sliding on the pipe cleaner.

    Step 4

Paint the flowers however you desire.

    Step 5

When the flowers dry, group them together to make a cute bouquet . Enjoy!
