How to Make Almond Milk

Super healthy & delicious way to make Almond milk.

Supplies

  • 1 16 oz bag of Raw Almonds
  • 1 Cloth strainer
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 14 Drops of Liquid Stevia
  • Cinnamon
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    I used 1-16oz. Bag of Raw Almonds.

    Step 2

    Soak the Almonds in filtered water anywhere from 12-24 hours. The longer you soak the creamier the milk. I will also dump out the water and refill with clean water a few times during the soak.

    Step 3

    Fill your blender with about 2 cups almonds at a time. For 1 cup of Almonds you will add 2 cups of water. You can adjust the amount of water depending if you like it thinner or thicker.

    Step 4

    For my two cups of almonds I added 4 cups of water.

    Step 5

    Blend in High for appx. 2 minutes.

    Step 6

    In a large bowl, lay your cloth strainer out and pour your mixture in. Most of the liquid will drain into the bowl.

    Step 7

    Gather your cloth and squeeze out the remaining milk within the pulp. Repeat this step.

    Step 8

    While in the bowl I added a tsp. of Vanilla, a few pinches of Cinnamon & 14 drops of Liquid Stevia.

    Step 9

    And Walah! You've got delicious homemade Almond milk! I was able to make appx. 10-12 cups of Almond milk. Almond Milk is very perishable so make sure you drink it within the next few days.

    And it was delicious! I added it to some ice and gulped it down! It's a really fun process, a great project with the kiddos too. Enjoy!!

    OH! And you can save the almond meal. You can add it to oatmeal, muffins, bake it and store it for later.
