How to Make All Natural Cleaner and Lemonade

Use lemon peels and vinegar to make a natural cleaner for your home. BONUS!! Turn juice from process into lemonade :)


  • 4 Lemons
  • 32 Ounces White distilled vinegar
  • 5 Cups Water
  • ½ Cups Sugar (perferably raw cane sugar)
  • A large jar or 2 meduim recycled sauce jars
  • 1 Empty spray bottle (new or clean in dish washer)
  • 1 Empty container for lemonade
  • 1 Pot
  • 2 glasses or bowls
  • Cutting board and knife
  • 1 Strainer
  • 1 Juicer (optional)
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Use lemon peels and vinegar to make a natural cleaner for your home. Waste not want not Bonus!! The lemon juice from the process can be used to make lemonade. Yum! Prep Time: 30min - Cook Time: 5min

    Step 2

    First, wash lemons then cut in half

    Step 3

    Then Squeeze juice into bowl by hand if juicer is unavailable. Make sure to roll the lemon while hand squeezing to get as much juice as possible

    Step 4

    Mix together sugar and water in a pot and bring to a boil.

    Step 5

    While waiting for sugar water to boil cut lemon peel into thin slices.

    Step 6

    Pack slices loosely into jar and cover completely with White Vinegar. be careful not to over pack the jar, doing so will not allow proper fusion of juice and vinegar. Save extra peels for lemonade

    Step 7

    Store jars in a dark cool place, such as the cupboard, for two days up to two weeks. The longer the solution sits the stronger it will become. Agitate solution every few days by shaking jar

    Step 8

    Strain seeds from juice with strainer into a another bowl. ( Save seeds and plant your own lemon tree!!! Grow Free cleaner and drinks for life! Note: Lemon seeds can not dry out before planting.)

    Step 9

    Once water and sugar is boiling add lemon juice and bring back to a boil. Then remove from heat and let cool.

    Step 10

    After the lemonade has reached room temp. place in container and let cool in the fridge

    Step 11

    Once chilled, shake well, add ice and some lemon slices for a refreshing treat that's made by you!!

    Step 12

    For a more tart lemonade use 6-7 lemons. For a sweeter beverage use 1 cup sugar. You can also omit the lemon peels in the glass for a milder lemonade.

    Step 13

    After sufficient time has past strain cleaning solution into bowl.

    Step 14

    Use funnel to transfer solution Into new or clean spray bottle.

    Step 15

    Add same amount of water as there is solution. So 1 part solution and 1 part water.

    Step 16

    Label your bottle any way you like! I used paint pens here. You can also dilute solution further to make an excellent glass cleaner!

    Step 17

    You now have a safe, non toxic, effective household cleaner that's also a disinfectant and you get yummy lemonade for around $4!!

    Step 18

    Use of this cleaner is not recommended for: hardwood floors or granite/ marble countertops. The acidity is too strong for these materials. It will also coagulate egg spills making them hard to clean
