Tim Tams - the star ingredient of this brownie. This is a Choco Chocolate flavor. You can replace this with something like Oreos if you have trouble getting these Australian favorite.
Here's what Tim Tam Choco chocolate looks like! Let'a get going!
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celcius.
Get all the ingredients ready.
Melt the butter over low fire in a sauce pan or pot.
Use a spoon to stir the butter until it is completely melted.
Transfer the butter to a large bowl which you can whisk your mixture in comfortably. Lets get more ingredients in there while the butter is nice and warm.
Pour the cup of sugar in. If you have a sweet tooth, you can add more sugar instead of just 1 cup.
Add in the flour.
Add the table spoon of warm water so it'll help with the mix.
Lets start whisking!
Make sure you whisk in nice smooth motions or else you'll end up having all your mixture flying out!
Once the sugar, flour and butter is mixed nicely let's get the eggs, baking powder and salt in to the mix.
Whisk until the mixture becomes liquid ish.
We'll add the cocoa powder next. Contine whisking until the mix becomes nice and chocolate-ish.
Put in the chocolate chips and mix them in. Use the whisking tool to stir them in, but do not crush them.
Layer your baking dish with the baking paper and pour a base layer of the brownie mix in. We're going to lay the Tim Tams on top of this layer.
Lay the Tim Tams evenly over the base layer of brownie mix. One packet should contain 8 pieces.
Pour the rest of the mix on top and smooth them over the Tim Tam. Make sure you also cover the sides and all corners.
Here's a top down shot. Again, make sure there are no exposed Tim Tams!
Put the baking dish into the oven. If you prefer a softer brownie, 20 minutes should be enough.
Here's a closeup of the brownie. Yum, the chocolate smell should have filled the entire kitchen by now. 😊
I love brownies with ice cream and I highly recommend having them this way. 😅 For maximum enjoyment, have the brownie warm with the cold ice cream. Enjoy!
