Gather around 107 soda tabs. To calculate how many tabs you will need it takes 3 tabs per inch.
Get some ribbon or Craftlace and a button. You want to use about 95-100 inches of lace. Leaving 10 extra inches.
Take your first tab and put both ends of the lace through the holes.
Leave a loop at the end that is big enough to slip over your button.
Add the next tab on top. Put the bottom lace through the top hole. Put the top lace through the bottom hole making an X. You can put the lace through the same holes if you would like.
Take the next tab and put it on the bottom. Take the top lace and put it through the top hole, do the same with the bottom one.
Put the next tab on top and repeat the X.
With another X done you continue to place one tab on bottom, weave the craft lace. Put one tab on top and make and X. Repeat these steps until you have the length that you want.
This is something to look out for when you are weaving the back part of your belt. The craft lace may get twisted. Look for it when you are weaving and untwist the lace.
One you have reach the length you want you are going to stop after you do the last bottom tab.
Place your button on top.
Put both ends of the craft lace through the holes of the button. When you are choosing your button make sure your weaving material will fit through the holes.
Tie a couple knots on top of the button and put a little bit of crazy glue on it to keep the knot from coming undone.
And there you go. You have yourself a finished Soda Tab Belt. My craft lace wasn't long enough for an adult size belt so this will be for one of my daughters.
I hope you have enjoyed this guide on how to make a ST belt. If you have any suggestions on things you would like to see made with soda tabs please ask :D
