How to Make a Quorn Cottage Pie

  • 700 Grams Potatoes
  • 2 Tablespoons Milk
  • 350 Grams Quorn Mince
  • 1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Medium Onion
  • 100 Grams Frozen Vegetables
  • 1 Teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1 Tablespoon Tomato purée
  • 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Cornflower mixed with 1 tbsp of water
  • Grated cheese (optional)
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Pre heat the oven to 180c or Gas Mark 4

    Step 2

    Boil potatoes until tender, drain and set aside

    Step 3

    Meanwhile fry the onions in the vegetable oil until soft

    Step 4

    Add the quorn mince, frozen veg, vegetable stock, worcestershire sauce, tomato purée, soy sauce and seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes then add the cornflower paste, simmer and stir until thickened.

    Step 5

    Place in oven proof dish

    Step 6

    Add the mashed potatoes to the top and use a fork to fluff. I added a sprinkle of grated mature cheese on the top.

    Step 7

    Place in the oven for about 20 minutes until the topping is crisp

    Step 8

    Serve it up!
