Fold the 5"X8" cards precisely in half. You'll need 15 for each month with less than 31days, 16 for those with 31.

Each card holds two days' worth of journaling (one day on each half). What makes this journal perpetual is that you can write one or two lines per day, year after year.

Put double-sided tape on each corner of alternating sides of 12 - 5"X8" index cards.

Align one 4"X6" index card, lines out, on the taped side of the 5"X8" card. Press down to secure. Part of the 4"X6" will be above  the 5"X8"... That's ok.

If you have a little overlay on the side, cut it off so it's nice & neat! Leave the top overlay!

When you're doing the opposite side, start with the last letter first, so you don't have to guess how much space you need...
