How to Make a Papa Murphy's Pizza on the Grill!

by Amy Woitas

In the summer it gets hot, and I hate paying to air condition the place, just to heat it up for some cost effective delicious pizza! Bring on the grill!!

Supplies

  • 1 Papa Murphy Pizza
  • 1 Pizza Stone (or a metal/aluminum pan)
  • 1 Gas Grill
  • 1 Pizza Cutter
  • Instructions

    Step 1

Preheat grill. For 2 burner grills, use both burners and heat to 375°–400°F. For grills with 3 or more burners, heat to 425°–450°F, and light outer burners only. If needed, use an oven thermometer.

    Step 2

Preheat grill. For 2 burner grills, use both burners and heat to 375°–400°F. For grills with 3 or more burners, heat to 425°–450°F and light outer burners only. If needed, use an oven thermometer.

    Step 3

Remove the plastic wrap from the pizza. Put pizza/paper tray on aluminum grilling tray or heated pizza stone. Place in the center of the grill surface and close lid.

    Step 4

Note: If you have a thermometer in the lid of the grill, it will no longer read the correct temperature. Temperature should not be adjusted once grill is preheated.

    Step 5

    Pizza cooking, looking lovely.

    Step 6

Do not leave your grill unattended. Check your pizza by lifting crust with a spatula, do this and turn the pizza 1/4 turn every 5-7 minutes. Bake your pizza for approximately 20-30 minutes.

    Step 7

I waited 15 minutes-- WAY too long. Pull/check it earlier.

    Step 8

Pizza is done! You will want to let it sit for 5 minutes to let it cool/rest. Then you can slice it how you like it, and enjoy!! (Don't forget to turn your grill off!)
