How to Make a Nutritious Green Smoothie

Quick, healthy and super tasty kale and baby spinach smoothie! Yields 1.75L

Supplies

  • ½ Apple
  • 1 Pear
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 Cup Strawberries
  • 1 Cup Green Grapes
  • 1 Tablespoon Goji Berries (optional)
  • 2 Stalks Kale (stalks and leaves)
  • 1 ½ Cups Baby Spinach
  • 2 Cups Cold water
  • 1 Cup Ice
  • 1 Powerful Blender
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Chopping board
  • 1 Glass or favourite drinking jar
  • 1 Empty bottle for leftovers
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Rip kale into small pieces.

    Step 2

    Place kale pieces in blender.

    Step 3

    Place baby spinach in blender.

    Step 4

    Roughly chop the apple, pear and banana.

    Step 5

    Place chopped fruit in blender.

    Step 6

    Add strawberries.

    Step 7

    Add grapes and cold water.

    Step 8

    Use the pulse setting on your blender to pulse the ingredients in short bursts until the green leaves are roughly blended.

    Step 9

    After pulsing, blend on high speed for 20 seconds.

    Step 10

    Add ice into the blender.

    Step 11

    Add your goji berries if desired. Don't use too many as they can be overpowering.

    Step 12

    Once the ice and goji berries have been added, blend again on a high speed for 30 seconds or until desired consistency has been reached.

    Step 13

    Once done, pour into a glass or drinking jar.

    Step 14

    Pour remainder of the smoothie into an empty bottle and refrigerate. Best consumed within the next 24 hours.
