How to Make a Font on the Ipad

A quick guide for using the iFontMaker app. When you're done, load into an iPad app or on your computer.

Supplies

  • iPad
  • iFontmaker app
  • Index finger or stylus
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Open the iFontMaker app. This is the window to get started.

    Step 2

    To begin, choose a brush setting and adjust line weight. With your finger or stylus start drawing!

    Step 3

    When you finish making your uppercase letters, lowercase letters and numbers export your file to "Build Font via 2TTF.com".

    Step 4

    This blue box will appear. Wait for your 4-digit PIN.

    Step 5

    Write or remember your PIN. Tap "Browse".

    Step 6

    Enter your PIN.

    Step 7

    Tap "Type Tester" to see your font in a variety of sizes.

    Step 8

    Tap "Download". I downloaded my font to Dropbox.

    Step 9

    Load your '.ttf' onto your computer. See my Snapguide about loading your new font into the iPad app, Inkpad. Good luck!
