How to Make a Delicious Low Fat Tzaziki!

This recipe is pretty easy and makes a truly delicious flavor. You can use this on sandwiches as a dip and so much more!!


  • 500 Grams Greek Yogurt
  • ½ Teaspoons Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Dill
  • ½ Teaspoons Salt
  • ½ Teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • ¼ Of An English Cucumber
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Pretty easy ingredients and the taste is amazing! You can use it as a dip for chips or with some pita bread. You can use it as a spread on sandwiches. I'm making it for some souvlaki :)!! Yummy!!!

    Step 3

    Grab your garlic cloves and you can either chop them yourself or use a small food processor like I did. They need to be small but NOT pulverized.

    Step 4

    Place garlic in a good sized storage container.

    Now it's time to get the cucumber ready. Cut about 1/4 of a English cucumber.

    And then cut it into fourths like so,

    Now this you will need a small food processor for. Place cucumbers in and pulse 4-5 times.

    Step 8

    You should get something like this. Do not over do it you need some lil chunks.

    Step 9

    Okay, now take the cucumbers place them into a small strainer over a bowl. You need to drain some of the water from the cucumbers. Add your salt with the cucumbers it will help get the water out.

    Step 10

    Stir the cucumbers around to help get any water out. Be careful you need to stir slow and gently do not smash the cucumbers.

    Now, set that aside and allow it 15 minutes to drain.

    Time to crush some pepper, I choose to crush my pepper this way to help bring out the flavor you can use a simple grinder but I find the flavor turns out better doing it this way.

    Make sure to cover the top and push and stir. Don't just pound it :P

    It should look fine and no more whole black pepper.

    Step 15

    Place the pepper into the container with the garlic.

    Time to add your greek yogurt. Give it a good stir.

    After 15 minutes simply give the cucumbers a little stir to get any water that might have settled at the bottom.

    See? You have to strain the cucumbers if that water would go into the yogurt it would make everything running and we are wanting to keep a nice creamy texture.

    Add your cucumbers and chopped dill and stir!

    And your done!! Well kinda, you need to allow this to sit in the fridge for at least 24 hours so all of the ingredients can soak into the yogurt it's a long wait but it's totally worth it! .

    So, grab a lid for your container and place it in the fridge and by tomorrow you'll have a creamy delicious Tzaziki
