How to Make a Cookie Dough Trifle

Safe-to-eat cookie dough - no eggs or flour!

Supplies

  • 1 ½ Cups butter, softened
  • 1 ½ Cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3 ¼ Cups crushed graham crackers
  • 1 ½ Teaspoons kosher salt
  • ⅓ Cups milk
  • 1 ⅓ Cups mini chocolate chips
  • 1 Cup regular chocolate chips, plus more for topping
  • 2 8 oz packages whipped cream, thawed
  • 1 package chewy chocolate chip cookies
  • 2 3.4 oz boxes instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 Cups cold milk
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Crush 15 graham crackers in a large ziplock bag. Set aside.

    Step 2

    In a large bowl, add brown sugar.

    Step 3

    Add softened butter.

    Step 4

    Add pure vanilla extract.

    Step 5

    Use an electric mixer to beat mixture until light and fluffy.

    Step 6

    Add graham crackers.

    Step 7

    Add salt.

    Step 8

    Add milk.

    Step 9

    Mix well by spoon or spatula.

    Step 10

    Add mini chocolate chips.

    Step 11

    Mix well. Set aside.

    Step 12

    In a separate bowl, add both containers of whipped cream.

    Step 13

    Add regular chocolate chips.

    Step 14

    In a trifle dish, scoop 1/3 of the cookie dough mixture into the bottom and spread evenly. Add 1/3 whipped cream mixture on top.

    Step 15

    Add cookies on top of the whipped cream.

    Step 16

    In a separate bowl, add pudding mix.

    Step 17

    Add milk.

    Step 18

    Whisk well until granules are dissolved and pudding is smooth. Let sit in the fridge for 5 minutes to thicken.

    Step 19

    Add 1/2 of pudding mixture to top layer of trifle after it thickened for 5 min in the fridge.

    Step 20

    Add a layer of cookie dough, then add a layer of whipped cream.

    Step 21

    Add more cookies.

    Step 22

    Add a layer of pudding then cookie dough.

    Step 23

    Add whipped cream, then sprinkle with extra chocolate chips. Serve and enjoy!
