Begin with a piece of brown cardstock cut to measure 8.75" wide x 6.25" tall.  To save time, I will tell you at this point that I inked all cut  paper edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Stitch the patterned paper to the cardstock. This is an optional step.  You can always just glue the papers together, but I like the added texture the stitching adds.

On right hand side of the pink patterned paper, use a ruler to measure over 2" .  Make a light pencil mark at this point.

With your ruler lined up on the 2" mark that you just made, measure up 1" and make a mark.  Then measure up 2.5" & make a pencil mark.  Draw a light pencil line with your ruler between the two marks.

It will look like this.  Place on a glass cutting mat or old piece of glass from a picture frame  (for easier cutting).  Use your craft knife and ruler to cut a slit along this line.

Be sure to cut through BOTH layers of paper.  Erase pencil marks when done.                          This is the background layer for the card.

Turn striped paper so stripes are vertical. Cut 8.5" x 3.5" panel on long side of your scoring tool. Score at 1/4" & at 8 1/4". Burnish both score lines with bone folder to create mountain folds.

Place ruler on the mark at 1.75" and make sure it is straight.  Make a mark at 1" and 2".  Draw a light pencil line between the two marks.

On the right hand side of the panel we will make a tab from the scored flap.  Measure up 1" from the bottom edge and make a mark.  Make a second mark at 2.25".

To create the curve:  Make a mark 1" down from the right top edge.  Make a mark 1/2" down from the top left hand edge.  Draw a curved line between the two marks, as seen here.  Cut inside the line.

Cut away the to portion of the curve.  If you cut inside the line, you won't have to erase your pencil marks. This is the middle layer of the card.

Fussy cut the carousel marquee from the 12 x 12 paper. Remember to ink all cut edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Measure up 7/8" from the bottom edge on each side and trim.

Trim off these ends to create a front panel piece that measures 8.5" long.

Place this panel on scoring tool with straight edge against the rail.

Add Scor-Tape to the 1/4" scored tab on the left hand side of the striped paper and secure to the back of the card.
