4th Grade Project Using StoryKit App
Students researched an animal of their choice with a partner. These worksheets guided their research.
Students used books from their library collection to gather facts.
Students also used Encyclopedia Britannica.
Students also used WorldBook Online for Kids to gather information.
Before using the Storykit App, students had to complete a storyboard mapping out their book pages.
Students were instructed to use complete sentences, punctuation and capitalization.
Rubrics were given to students prior to the start of their research.
After completing the storyboard, students opened the StoryKit App and clicked on New Book.
To create text, click on the A+ symbol at the bottom of the opening screen.

Students continued typing information from the storyboard, creating a new page for each fact.
Pages were added by clicking on ADD.
Students saved six photos of their animal from Google images.
When re-opening a book, click on the book.
Allow access to pictures to load them into book.
Add a title and author. Click Edit to continue working on book.
Search for animal pictures.
Save images to library.
After collecting all pictures, students loaded them into StoryKit by clicking on photo icon.
Select picture, size and scale.
Pictures and text on page of book.
After adding all pictures, students recorded from the storyboard the content for each page.
Pages can be arranged and deleted if necessary.
