Let's get started! :D
First, add In 2 table spoons of honey. Raw honey works the best but I ran out of it so I used pure honey:)
Next up, cinnamon!
Add in 1 table spoon of that
Since it is so thick, add in a little bit of olive oil
You will get something like this. But it's still way too thick
Add In some conditioner. It makes washing it out later on so much easier! And also helps the cinnamon to stick to your hair
Add in a little bit of water to make It thinner, and easier to apply to your hair
This is what you will get! Let it sit for about half a hour. Now I will explain how this works ---->
Honey contains a small amount if hydrogen peroxide, and mixing it with cinnamon will activate it😊 the reason we let the mixture sit is to let the hydrogen peroxide develop
Half an hour later... The mixture has thickened a little and has some texture to it:) now let's proceed with applying it to your hair
Brush out your hair. Make sure there's no knots AT ALL
Section your hair into two and tie half of it up
Dampen your hair:) I do it by wetting my brush and combing it through my hair. You can use a spray bottle or just wash your hair and let it dry a little
Time to apply the mixture to your hair:D this may feel gross but it will make your hair beautiful so don't worry! ;D
Take a little of the mixture and scrub it all over your hands
Apply it through your hair. It may get really messy!
Repeat through out your hair
Then tie it into a bun:)
And put a shower cap on
It is best to leave it in over night(6-8 hours). Put a towel over your pillow so It won't get everywhere🙆 if you don't want to sleep with it, leave it in for at least 4 hours during day time:)
*6 hours later...* results!
TADA! My hair became a lighter shade of brown and it looks slightly red under the sun:) I had to wash it 2 times to get all the cinnamon completely out! But it smells amazing:)
Results- Blondes: strawberry blond, some brown highlights. Black: lighter brown, red tints. Red: red highlights and brown tints. Light brown: lighter shades and red tints. Dark brown: light brown.
Doing this one time may not give you the exact results you are looking for.you may not even see a difference😔 But don't be discouraged! I did it twice, 6 hours each, and I love the results!🙆💜
