What you'll need: yarn of choice + knitting needles size according to the yarn. Here I have size 8.0 mm.
Cast on yarn on needle. Please see my long tail cast on snap guide! Here I cast on 20 stitches
So sorry about the background noise, my family was watching TV and on the phone. Here is a video of how to do a knit stitch.
Knit stitch: insert right needle downward into the first loop from left needle. Wrap the yarn once around the right needle. Keeping yarn tight, draw right needle back up bringing the yarn loop too!
Pull out the right needle bringing the new loop to the right side! That is one complete knit stitch. Continue this till the end of the needle.
The completed first row. The first row will be slightly tougher than the rest because it doesn't have as much give.
Switch needles so the empty needle is on your right hand again. And continue the knit stitch!
Second row done! It should look a little like this! You can continue this pattern to make a scarf or squares for a blanket! Or even a blanket.
And that is a knit stitch! Hope that helps and hope the videos are clear. Let me know if you have any questions.
Tip: keep tension on working yarn consistent. This will make your stitches nice and even! Good luck!
