How to How to Make Chaat

This recipe originally comes from Lahore. It's sweet and sour taste is truly a treat. You can find all of the ingredients at a local Indian store. Enjoy treating on it and remember eat it fresh :)

Supplies

  • 1 tub yoghurt
  • 1 boiled potato
  • Half a cup chick peas
  • (Green chutney) coriander, garlic,mint leaves, 3
  • Green chillies
  • Cumin seeds
  • Tamarind paste
  • Cabbage and Carrots for garnishing
  • Handful of Boondhi
  • Chaat masala
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    In a blender put 2 tablespoons of yoghurt, a few cumin seeds, green chillies and some mint leaves followed by half a tea spoon of salt. Blend.

    Step 2

    This is what your paste should look like after you blend it

    Step 3

    Mix the rest of the yoghurt along with 2 to 3 table spoons of tamarin paste

    Step 4

    Mix it all well

    Step 5

    Add your chickpeas and potatoes to the yoghurt mixture

    Step 6

    Add the chickpeas and potatoes to the yoghurt mixture along with a tea spoon of chaat masala

    Step 7

    Add a handful of Boondhi

    Step 8

    Garnish it with cabbage, carrot and onions. Chill and serve :)
