Today's potato is HUGE! Normally I'd suggest using one per person.
Wash potato. (Scrub more if you're not peeling it)
Peel, if desired.
Rinse thoroughly in cold water. This removed excess starch and prevents discoloring. Our dog Molly is always close by hoping for a small sample.
Melt 1/4 cup butter in pan
Salt and pepper to taste. Stir to heat.
Let bottom portion brown before turning.
This is our once-in-a-while high cholesterol breakfast. For extra calories and taste, add bacon, sausage or ham.
Loosen and flip.
Nice browning action.
Ready to eat!
