Fold in half diagonally, making sure to crease well. It's easier to fold on a hard surface, although professionals can fold in mid-air

Squash fold a flap by putting your finger into the corner (actually the middle of the whole piece of paper) and pressing flat the flap. Comment if you have problems with my not-so-good explanation

Make sure the gap is on the bottom half facing you. Fold the sides in  Silly me used patterned paper, so the photo (that I didn't put on) looked a bit hard to see. Hopefully the video will help.

Flip the side open and fold the wing up. Crease well and repeat on the other side.  Sorry the video is a bit wobbly; I was holding the phone between my knees.

Push pointy bit down to make a head. (This time don't repeat unless you want a double headed crane😂)

Fold the wing down to reveal the body, head and tail. Repeat. But we're not quite done yet!

Gently tweak the head and tail out. This is really optional, but I think it looks better.

Be very gentle here. Pull the wings out so that the body puffs up.  Some people don't do this step, but I like to do it.
