apply gesso to template using foam brush. dab gently so that you don't get paint under edge of stencil. photo will be in center, so you don't have to paint that portion of the stencil.

add a few more partial designs at upper and lower right.

make sure gessoed areas are COMPLETELY dry...then begin staining the wood panels using dye ink diluted 50/50 with water. use more water for lighter colors and less for darker. apply using foam brush.
