Scene-Safe / Check your surroundings for hazards (power lines, animals, ect.)
Try to to get a response from the person. If not proceed with CPR
Get the attention of the people around you, to call 9-11 and get an AED.
Tilt the head and listen for breathing, if not begin CPR.
To do CPR do compressions for two minutes, then have someone trade off with you.
While doing compression, extend your arms, lock fingers like so,and push down with power from your legs. * You will break their ribs, but remember you are saving their life
Trade out CPR every two minutes. Continue CPR while preparing the AED.
Cut off clothes and remove jewelry when the AED comes, remember you are saving a life. Attach the sticky pads as shown on the AED. Prepare to shock by shaving chest and wiping sweat off.
When the AED is active stop CPR and follow its verbal instructions. Do not do compressions while it is analyzing the Rhythm of the heart. Press shock button when instructed to.
After shock patient will worry and try to sit up. Calm them down as shown and put them in the recovery position. Wait for the ambulance and remember, you just saved a life.
