Begin in a normal side on stance with the kicking leg back. Feet should be parallel
Pivot the front foot and shift your weight onto it as you turn the body round the back of yourself. Start by turning the head, looking at the target over the shoulder, and the body will follow.
Raise the tucked kicking leg up slightly out to the side, ready to sweep across the target with the sole of the foot.
After you hit the target, immediately snap the leg back in. This is to stop the opponent catching the leg, to speed up the finishing phase neatly, and to keep your balance as you spin round.
