You will need some toilet paper rolls (obviously) I've only got two of them, but they're accumulating...
You will also need a black marker and scissors. (not pictured)
Here is my first design- an owl! You can get as detailed as you want. Mine is very fun, and I've tried to add as many markings as I could. Make sure your design occupies the roll from top to bottom.
Now draw a straight line from around the shoulders/ neck of your character- all the way around the roll.
Using your scissors or an X-acto knife (for more precision) cut off the pieces where you have drawn above the line. This process is easier if your design doesn't have as many curves!
Here's my second design- a fun little Princess! Just repeat the steps before, with a different design. She took me a while to cut out, and it was tricky around the pigtails.
Here are my two completed characters! Aren't they adorable? I'm definitely going to make more of them once I've collected more toilet paper rolls!
This just shows that you don't have to be a great artist to create yourself something cute- and recycled!
