I bought a finished hanger of 3 MDF boards. I decided to dissemble it, so it was easier to work with. The white you see is some leftover paper of the picture that was on it.
Glue torn pieces of bookpaper to the 3 boards.
Gather some lace and corrugated board to add to the background.
Adhere it to the background as shown. Also adhere a postage stamp.
Glue some thread down with Multi Medium Matte.
Add white gesso with a brush; don't cover up the postage stamp and leave some of the pictures on the book paper peek through.
When the gesso is dry, spray with Granny Smith Colorations spray at the top edge, and let it drip down by tilting the board. You could choose to mist with water as well.
Add a little more green with the darker Grass Colorations Spray. Leave to dry completely.
At the bottom edge, spray with Rustic Colorations Spray, and let it drip Upward on the board by tilting it. Leave to dry.
Splatter with Grass Colorations Spray.
Leave to dry completely.
Dry brush some gesso over the raised details to accentuate it. Adhere waterdrops that were created with a hot glue gun.
Close-up of the drops. LOVE them. The moistness of the glue absorps a little of the spray; I kind of like that.
Another close-up...... LOVE the effect of the gesso over the raised areas.
Rub some Black Leather Sorbet around the edges of the piece with a finger. Leave to dry.
Sponge with a rusty color Distress ink over the Gothic Stencil and heat emboss it with clear embossing powder.
Close-up of the heat embossing.
Stamp in the background with a script to add interest. Stamp the dragonfly from Katzelkraft, fussycut it and adhere it with 3D tape. This is one of the 3 finished boards.
This is the second finished board.
And last but not least : the third finished board.
A close-up of the gorgeous details.
After re-assembling the 3 parts of the hanger, it looks like this!
