Glue your lace & embellishments to the egg using strong liquid glue. I've wrapped lace around & created a diagonal motif with my embellishments and left the back plain so the egg can sit in a basket.

Using white gesso, lightly brush the surface of the egg & embellishments. Don't force the white gesso into grooves/creases - you want the shadows the black gesso makes to add depth to your egg.

Keep playing with the colours until you are happy with the results. Here, I've added a few highlights to the embellishments and gone over the egg again with the Fuzzy Peach Silks to darken the colour.
