Fold a sheet of paper into a "taco".
Cut off the excess at the bottom.
Open the folded taco, and refold it like a taco the opposite way to create an X-fold pattern.
Open the project.
Cut one of the folds to the center of the X, or the midpoint and stop.
This creates two triangular flaps.
Mark the flap to the right of the cut with a marker to remind you and your students not to write on that flap, as it will be covered.
Flip the project over, and mark the top side of the flap on the other side of the fold from the one marked in the previous step.
Label each side with a topic or heading.
Trace the X with glue (less is more).
Bring the flap on the other side of the cut on top of the flap with glue. Hold for a few seconds while it dries.
Students can write information, thoughts, and questions on the appropriate side of the pyramid.
