Cut 2 strips of pattern paper. 1 x 30cm x 5cm and 1 x 25cm x 1cm
Score at 1cm intervals the 30cm x 5cm paper strip.
Fold on the score lines as shown.
Fold around and join as shown. This will become the actual basket piece.
Cut 2 x 3cm round circles of pattern paper.
Glue circles of paper back to back as shown this will be the base of the basket.
Fold in folded paper basket piece as shown and glue onto the circle paper base.
Glue onto base as shown.
Fan out the top as shown.
Open out as shown. This will be a big enough basket to place a standard sized egg into.
Add the 1cm wide paper strip as shown to create the basket handle.
This is the paper bow template.
Cut out paper bow pieces from coordinating pattern paper as shown.
Paper bow centre.
Fold centre in as shown.
It should look like this once folded.
Now get the bow paper strip.
Fold around centre as shown. Cut off excess length once folded.
Get paper bow backing.
Attach the back of bow as shown.
You will need to make 2 bows as shown and cut a paper strip measuring 0.5cm x 25cm.
Attach paper strip as shown in the centre of the handle.
Attach a bow to both sides of the basket.
The basket is now finished ready for you to add your own finishing touches.
I chose to add fussy cut clusters cut from Graphic 45 Once Upon A Springtime Collection.
I added some fussy cut blossoms to the centre of the paper bows.
