Measure the inside of the box, then the sides. Using the sums of these measurements (2-7/8" 1" each side = 4-7/8" x 4-7/8" square), cut a piece of pattern paper to cover the bottom. Repeat for top.

Score to create the folds around the sides. (My sides measure 1"; I've scored 1" away from the edge on all 4 sides.)

Cut one side only of each corner square. This will allow you to tuck the flap underneath when you adhere the paper to the box. Put aside.

Choose a mold to form strips around the sides of the box and one to decorate the top; fill with clay. (Tip: The clay can be removed after a few moments to allow you to make multiple pieces.)

Allow the clay pieces to dry thoroughly. Apply a light coat of gel to the entire back of each piece.

Adhere to the box as shown. (Tip: No molds? No worries! Try using strips of lace around the sides and a flower or metal piece on the top.)

Coat the entire outside and inner rims with black gesso, taking care that all of the nooks and crannies are covered. Allow to dry thoroughly.

Now the magic begins! Using a stipple brush, coat the entire outside and inner rims with the Bronze Age wax, following the grain of the wood.

To complete the magic, lightly apply the Aged Brass to the raised areas and around the sides to create highlights.

Place the folded papers inside the box to double-check for fit; adjust any folds as needed. Coat the backs and adhere to the box. I added this cute mirror from the Embellishment Kit to the top.
