Use tweezers to push through and break up the glass inside of the bulb, then remove the broken glass with your tweezers, pliers, and a little bit of shaking.
Use the corner of a hard, non-scratchable surface to push in the metal at the base of the bulb, eliminating any sharp edges and creating a hospitable environment for your freshly cut flowers.
Cut a three-foot piece of craft wire and wrap it around the base of the bulb, creating a handle for hanging the vase from the wall.
Fill the bulb with water and fresh flowers, hang indoors or out, and revel in your crafty glory.
