Gather all of your ingredients.
In a bag or bowl combine flour, cornmeal and spices.
Shake it all together.
Now add half of the shrimp, close the top of the bag and shake it all together.
Now heat the oil to 350 degrees F.
Add the shrimp to the oil, shaking off the excess flour off before adding them to the oil.
Move the shrimp around to make sure none of them are sticking together.
Once the shrimp floats to the top of the oil, remove and allow to them drain on paper towels.
Repeat this process with the remaining shrimp.
