How to Cook Sunday Soup

Looking for an easy soup? There are plenty of yummy ideas without having to buy a bunch of ingredients you'll rarely use. I like to call this Sunday Soup...

Supplies

  • 1 Tablespoon Oregano
  • 1 Tablespoon Basil
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 Pounds Meat of choice
  • 2 Celery stalks, sliced
  • 1 16 oz can dark red kidney beans
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 16 oz can stewed tomatoes
  • 32 Ounces Broth
  • Optional: Pasta, Gnocchi, Rice
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Add olive oil & seasonings to a large soup pot. Secret ingredient here is cinnamon!! It gives an amazing flavor to soups 👍🏼😊

    Step 2

    Add celery & onions

    Step 3

    Sauté on medium heat.

    Step 4

    Add meat & cook on Med-High. I used polish beef sausage.

    Step 5

    Add kidney beans. Blend well and continue cooking on Med-High heat.

    Step 6

    Add stewed tomatoes, broth; bring to a boil. Simmer & cook for 3-4 hours on low heat.Stir every hour. Additional add in's:gnocchi, rice, small soup pasta. I used pumpkin potato Gnocchi🎃😋Happy Fall!

    Step 7

    Garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese, & fresh basil, Serve and enjoy!
