How to Cook Rice With Grill Lemongrass Pork

Supplies

  • 1 ½ Pounds Pork butt or shoulder
  • ½ Cups Chopped lemongrass
  • ½ Cups Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons Of fish sauce
  • 1 ½ Tablespoons Ground black pepper
  • 4 Tablespoons Sesame oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Thick soy sauce /caramel sauce
  • 3 Chopped garlic
  • 4 Chopped shallot
  • Optional: pickle carrot & daikon
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Remember this recipe? The same recipe with grilled pork Vietnamese sandwich. In large bowl, combine garlic, shallots, lemongrass, sugar, pepper, fish sauce, and thick soy sauce & sesame oil.

    Step 2

    Sliced the pork (thick sliced is fine). Marinated for at least 3 hour or overnight for best result.

    Step 3

    For this recipe, I char the pork for 10-15min. Wait!!!! Don't throw away the juice.

    Step 4

    Set up your plate: rice, lettuce, cucumber, and pickle carrot & daikon. I used the char pork juice over the rice.
