How to Cook Quick Weeknight Chili Mac

Supplies

  • 1 pound ground meat (I used turkey)
  • 2 boxes Mac and cheese
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 can black beans rinsed
  • 1 can diced tomato including juice
  • 2-3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon season salt or adobo seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional extra cheese if desired
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    I love this meal, it's fast and tastes great. You can make your own macaroni and cheese from scratch if preferred, I just didn't have time and most families have Mac and cheese in the cupboard!

    Step 2

    Get water boiling! Your meal will damn near be done when you get done cooking the pasta!

    Step 3

    Get meat browning! Again I used turkey!

    Step 4

    After brown I added all the veg and spices

    Step 5

    Rinse the beans, this remove almost all of the sodium from the preserving liquid!

    Step 6

    Add those to the mix!

    Step 7

    Cooking Mac and cheese like the box says!

    Step 8

    I also had a small block of manchego so I grated that into it as well!

    Damn looks good right?

    Step 10

    Add everything together!

    Step 11
