How to Cook Kadi

Supplies

  • 2 Cups Regular yogurt
  • 6 Tablespoons Besan (chickpeas flour)
  • 1 Green chilly-chopped (optional)
  • 3 Curry leaves
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons Chopped cilantro
  • Salt
  • 2 Tablespoons Ghee
  • ½ Teaspoons Mustard seeds
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Leave curd outside the refrigerator for one night

    Step 2

    Add water and mix well (1/2 and 1/2) so Half yogurt and half water mix very well

    Step 3

    Now take your besan out

    Step 4

    Add 5 tbspoon besan and whisk well

    Step 5

    End result :) --- keep it aside

    Step 6

    In a vessel add 2 tablespoons of ghee and it cook on medium flame.

    Step 7

    When ghee starts melting add mustard seeds

    Step 8

    When mustard seeds start popping add onions

    Step 9

    When onions turn golden brown add chopped tomatoes and salt

    Step 10

    Add curry leaves and keep mixing

    Step 11

    Time to add yogurt and besan's mixture

    Step 12

    Add half of the mixture

    Step 13

    Add sugar

    Step 14

    Add the entire mixture and let it cook on low flame for about 7minutes

    Step 15
