How to Cook Fresh Pumpkin

Making anything with fresh or raw pumpkin seems like a challenge. ITS NOT! It is actually really easy! Make sure you purchase sugar pumpkins or pie pumpkins.

Supplies

  • 2 Pie Pumpkins
  • 2 Tablespoons butter (can be omitted)
  • water
  • Sprinkling of cinnamon (can be omitted)
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Preheat oven to 325. Cut the pumpkins in half and scoop out all the stringy stuff and the seeds. Place the pumpkins in a casserole dish skin side down, fill about half full of water.

    Step 2

    Optional: Sprinkle with a little cinnamon, and a dap of butter. Bake for about 30 minutes. Scoop and scrape out the tender inside!
