How to Cook Easy & Yummy Lamb Feet Soup or Curry

by Neha Trehan

This dish is very healthy and is great as a soup or a main course served with bread or rice. Also made with goat feet. The bone marrow inside the bones melts and gives it a unique taste.

  • 1 pound lamb feet
  • 1/2 tsp ginger sate
  • 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  • 1/2 large onion about 1 cup
  • 2 slit green chillis
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • 4 peppercorns
  • 1 1/2 tsp Garam Masala powder (mixed spices)
  • Handful chopped cilantro
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 3-4 pinches pepper powder
  • Instructions

    Step 1

Heat a pressure cooker add oil, cinnamon, cloves, peppercorns sauté for a few seconds and then add onions & chillis ( sorry abut the smoke) once these start turning pink add ginger and garlic paste.

    Step 2

Cook it till the raw smell of ginger garlic is gone and everything starts turning brown ( keep an eye on this coz after you add ginger garlic paste it can stick to the pan very soon and burn)

    Step 3

Add the lamb feet. I got the feet cleaned well and cut in small pieces from the butcher

    Step 4

Add water almost double the height of the meat. Also add salt, garam masala powder , crushed black pepper and mix well so that nothing sticks to the cooker.Let it pressure cook for half hour.

    Step 5

You know that the meat is done when the meat starts to fall off the bone. Once done shut the stove and add chopped cilantro and serve with your choice of bread. I served it with indian naan

    Step 6

You can also serve this with lime on the side. Yumm yummm yummmmm !!! :)
