Fill your pot about half full.
Add a pinch of salt to help the water boil. Place on medium heat and wait until it begins to boil.
While waiting for the water to boil, wash and cut your asparagus. You should cut about half an inch off the end.
Once the water is boiling throw your asparagus in and let cook for about 6-7 minutes. The water should still be boiling.
While the asparagus is cooking fill a bowl full of COLD water.
After 6-7 minutes of cooking place asparagus in the cold water.
Place on a plate and zest your orange over the asparagus then squeeze the orange juice and drizzle the oil. And now you have some Blanched orange zest asparagus!
