Rinse and peel the potatoes. Then cut into French fries (sticks)
Place fries into the bowl,fill with cold water and ice cubes then placed in the fridge for 30min. I learned that placing them in cold water removes the extra starch from the potatoes to make it crispy
Drain, rinse and pat dry the fries.
Cover at least 2 inches of cooking oil in the medium sauce pan and preheat. (Deep fryer would be nice to have). Then place fries in carefully and fry for about 4-6 mins.
Place chili in the small sauce pan and stir over medium heat for about 5 minutes. While heating the fries. (You could also use your own secret chili sauce)
Remove fries onto a paper towel as they'll cool down and turn the heat now to high. Which will actually fry the fries. Careful while removing the fries as they will be soft.
Place the fries back into the sauce pan in high heat to start frying. Fry till it starting to harden/crispy.
Garnish with salt and pepper.
Add the the chili then cheese! Then ready to grub a dub dub! Enjoy! Serves up to two people. Like comment and share!
